Élan Flowers expands its retail and vintage offerings!
Since moving into our Tribeca home, we have been expanded not just our floral offerings, but our retail collection of gift items and hand-picked treasures. It all started with some casual vintage shopping in Stockholm, Sweden, when Christine and her daughter discovered the many charming shops around town. Each one was so lovingly organized and offered an irresistible shopping experience. Christine initially found herself drawn to a single pair of copper bud vases, but by the end of the day, she had accumulated 9 more from 6 different shops around town! Clearly, there would be too many bud vases for her small Manhattan apartment, so most of the items ended up at Élan Flowers. Customers were delighted with her unique treasures and it started a vintage trend at the shop.
Since that time, our interest in "brocante," or, vintage shopping, has developed into a full-on passion project. At Élan Flowers, we embrace vintage flowers vases and orchid planters, brass candle holders, and a plethora of wonderful curiosities. Some of Christine's personal favorites include this Victorian iron bench with brocade cushion (pictured below) as well a Parisian hotel bell and a Victorian dinner gong.
